Background

As a member of a PowerVR Simulation Team you will be working on the latest technologies and responsible for designing and maintaining complex project development tools and infrastructures using Python. You will be involved in every stage of the development lifecycle for each project and work closely with several other teams of engineers contributing to our industry leading IP.

Travel Requirements

Some occasional travel to our other UK offices may be required.

Opportunity

The right candidate will be responsible for designing, maintaining and optimising our development tools and infrastructure. A fast learner with a passion for writing well structured, well commented and efficient source code will have the opportunity to develop their programming skills and learn about the fundamentals of designing and verifying successful silicon in the consumer electronics industry. Proactive individuals will rapidly gain responsibility and influence within the company.

 

Working as a part of an expert team, you will have some or all of the following responsibilities:

  • Design, maintenance, and optimisation of our python tools and infrastructure
  • Management and maintenance of build, execution and verification processes
  • Supporting other engineers within the project teams

Desired Skills

The right candidate will have the following:

  • Python programming knowledge
  • Experience of CMAKE and other multiplatform build systems
  • C, C++ and/or System-C programming knowledge would be beneficial
  • An understanding of hardware design principles would be beneficial
  • Experience or a strong interest in one of the following:
    • Computer Graphics
    • Ray-Tracing

Qualifications

A degree in software engineering, electronic engineering or similar is required for this role
